✔ Minecraft: 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Parrots

IF SO, GIVE YOURSELF A HIGH-5! :] THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT PARROTS When a music disc is played, parrots will party. They can also fly and dance at the same time. The dancing is a reference to the “Party Parrot” internet meme..=O This meme has apparently been really popular among the development team. Parrots come in 5 variants. Red, lime, blue, cyan and gray. The parrots are based on real-life macaws, “with a little Minecraft twist.” Remember the cyan and the red. Those two are likely based on ara parrots.. Now take a good look at the gray one.. That one is likely based on some kind of cockatoo. I’m not sure about the last two.. For some reason, parrots are very fascinated by other mobs. They have a tendecy to follow and cicrle them. :] They’re super cute! Once you’ve tamed a parrot, you can tell it to sit like a cat or a dog. You can also have them sit on your shoulders.. You can get them off by jumping. Originally, cookies were used to tame parrots. However, this was quickly changed after a reddit-user pointed out a serious issue. :I Chocolate is toxic to real-life parrots.. :,( With millions of players, this could lead to the death of real-life pet parrots.. To avoid fatal misunderstandings, we now have to use seeds instead. This simple mistake could have been a serious catastrophe.. Aka Really bad!! Parrots have a fun interaction with hostile mobs. They try to imitate the sound it makes! They aren’t perfect at it, so it’ll be a bit higher pitched. :] Even the hiss of a creeper will be imitated! Bla bla bla. Hiss hiss, meow, Grrrrr, ect.

  1. Oh, and I forgot to add that parrots will now instantly die of poisoning, if you try to feed them cookies. 😛

  2. Once I panicked I thought I heard a creeper when I was out getting wood, turns out it was just a nearby parrot.

    Moral of the story: never judge an unseen creature by its sound.

  3. The blue probaly is based on Blue Arara, a newly extinct bird, currently only found in captivity. The green i guess is based on the parrot of the real life

  4. the blue one is a hyacinth macaw, the green is a great green macaw, the blue and yellow is a blue and gold macaw, the red is a scarlett macaw and the grey is a cockatiel

  5. The last two parrots are based on a blue macaw, (the bird blu was in Rio) and the green one is (I’m pretty sure….) a…… Venezuelan… I think that’s what their called…. look me’ up.

  6. Blue and gold(cyan), scarlet(red), Hyacynth(blue), cockateil(gray), and I'm not shure about the lime. The red macaw you showed was actualy a green winged macaw 😉

  7. Magma queria falar que a arara azul escuro é uma arara típica de nosso país como a arara verde pesquise no Google imagens.

  8. You forgot that the colors are based of of actual species
    Cyan=Blue and Gold Macaw
    Red=Scarlet Macaw
    Blue=Hyacinth Macaw
    Grey= Cockatiel
    Green= Great green Macaw

  9. MagmaMusen the last 2 other parrots are inspired by: blue parrot is inspired by the (almost extinct) blue macaw that lives in the amazon in brazil and the green parrot is a green parrot (° – °) /

  10. Bro your videos are really help me like you make this video's for but I love all of your videos so mush and not lie ?

  11. The only downfall is when they make Creeper noises. I would panic a bit and look around only to find out it was Royal, my blue parrot. Then when I hear the sound again I would think it was Royal… Only to be blown up ?

  12. Because parrots can mimic mobs within a 15 block radius, they also make good travelling companions as their mimicry can easily warn you of nearby hostile mobs on the surface and underground.

  13. The gray one is based on a Cockatiel <3 I have one 😀

    Blue = hyacinth macaw
    Green = Some kind of Amazon parrot 🙂

  14. I love yo vid but dude you don't know that is a cockatiel MY LIFE IS BASED ON IT ITS MY PET DUDE

  15. The birds were probably based off of these breeds: Blue and Gold macaw(cyan), Scarlet Macaw(red), Trident Cockatoo(grey), Hyacinth Macaw(blue), and Military Macaw(green)
