  1. I never realized the difference between an eastern and western line German Shepherd. We got an eastern line pup, a beautiful all black girl…well, her energy levels and tunnel vision for wanting to chase the cats is exhausting. She is so focused on the cats, we have found it tremendously difficult to train her. it was only years later that when researching if she was crazy or typical that we discovered that she is meant to be a working type dog. We love her too much to find her a different home and just have made changes and allowances to keep her with us.

  6. There should be boxers on the list because like German Shepherds they are Guard dogs and where bred 4 hunting so that's why I think they should be on this list!

  14. I studied dogs for 4 years and half of this is not true , where's the pit bull,Tibetan Mastiff the English mastiff!

  15. When I was five, our family got a military trained german shepherd and he used to take care of my brother and I when my parents are not home. Long story short, when my family lived in china, someone else took care of him and abandoned him in the house and attacked the one who broke in. He was euthanized when no one wanted to pay for the injuries.
