16-Year-Old Bugha WINS $3 Million Fortnite World Cup, Tana Mongeau Paul PPV Wedding, & MUCH MORE

August 12, 2019

– ‘Sup, you beautiful bastards? Hope you’ve had a fantastic Monday. Welcome back to the Philip DeFranco show and let’s just jump into it. The very first thing we’re
gonna talk about today is a bit of online entertainment and business news. For those who didn’t see
or maybe are unfamiliar this last weekend was a
huge weekend for Esports. Epic Games held the first
ever Fortnite World Cup, an event that had a
$30 million prize pool, that had one of the craziest
layouts I’ve ever seen in Arthur Ashe Stadium with thousands watching in attendance and
millions around the world. The event took place over three days. There were three separate tournaments: pro-Am, duos, and solo. And so obviously this was a big deal, because in part, it showed
the current state of Esports. This would’ve also been the
largest prize pool in history, although now it comes in at number two. This is because the International 2019, which is the Dota 2 tournament has now surpassed $30 million, but still, I don’t think
the people that participated in the Fornite World Cup cared. Even the losers at this point took home at least $50,000, with the
largest take-home prize going to 16-year-old by the name of Bugha, bringing home $3 million with his dominating
first place performance. Although that’s not to say, once again, anything about anyone who
did not come in first place, because the prize pool was very nice. Personally I think one of
the most touching moments from this was actually a
player by the name of King. He’s a 13-year-old. There’s a video of him crying out of joy and just what a big moment
this is in his father’s arms. It’s just really wild to see,
one, the Esports industry growing like this, but
also the new opportunities for a lot of these kids that, some of them are showing about how their
mom threw out their Xbox, and now that same mom’s like,
pretty okay with everything. Which I will say is fun
to see on it’s own, right? But also relatable for me. Some of you who have
watched for a long time know that I was kicked out of
my house for being a YouTuber. In my father’s defense though, being a YouTuber made no
damn sense at that point. Just a wild thing to see. And a question I’ll pass
out, and this goes to people who love the Esports industry, people completely on the outs of it, do you love seeing stuff like this? Do you hate it? Do you think that the Esports industry is just going to continue
to rise and rise? Or do you think that it’s
a bubble, like some do? Let me know what you’re
thinking on that one. To insert my opinion at the end of this, I personally think it’s
just going to get bigger. As far as if I have a
problem with these young kids getting paid so much money
for playing a game, no. Entertainment is entertainment. The market decides who is worth what. Just like in the regular sports industry, you have millions and millions
of young kids who aspire, and millions and millions
who will never succeed at it, and only the tippity top will ever be able to play at the professional level. But at least with video
games if you’re not one of the top 100 or top 1,000
players in the world, you can still make a ton of money being an entertainer in
that same general space. But hey, that’s also just
my personal take on it. Then, and probably less inspiring, but still online entertainment
and business news you had Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau. And for those who don’t
know, these two very large online entertainers who are known for not always the most positive reasons- that’s the nicest way
I think I can say that- they ended up announcing that
they were getting married, resulting in a lot of people
saying yay, and also fake. But regardless, whether it’s real or it’s a fake publicity stunt, a lot of people were talking about it. They also decided to not
only stream the wedding, but make it a pay-per-view event, clocking in at a price
of 50 dollars per stream. A price that, apparently,
some people actually paid, although we haven’t
seen confirmed numbers, just screenshots that I haven’t been able to independently verify. But ultimately as expected, at least a little part
of it was a shit show, because at one point as
documented on the billions of phones that were out filming it that were not part of the live stream, it appears that someone threw champagne on the new lovely couple, at which point the man marrying them that definitely does not have a criminal record just starts wailing on this guy. It also appears that
someone else threw a punch. And so hey, there was that. But here’s the thing: you
can love them or hate them, but what they are doing is definitely the next stage of what we’ve
seen in reality television. The next step in shamelessly
monetizing and story boarding one’s life for entertainment. And here’s the thing: people
are gonna spend their money however they spend their money. That part, it doesn’t bother me. How other people spend their money, I can mock it, but I’m
not gonna get outraged. The thing I will say I
do get concerned about with situations like this, and they are by no means the only entertainers
that are guilty of this its one of those situations
where you don’t know what’s real or not, and I don’t
mean, like the wedding, or the feelings behind it, but,
that a fight broke out. All right, like according to
one of the reports on this reportedly, the guy
officiating the wedding isn’t actually registered in Nevada. All right, my personal opinion
is this is all fake and it’s just meant to make money,
but it’s created this situation where you don’t
know, if, let’s say instead of the guy throwing
champagne on the couple, maybe he hits Jake, or he
hits Tana, you don’t, you, it’s like, it creates a
situation, where you don’t know if it’s real. Right, is it part of the
storyline or is it a crime? Right, a question we have
unfortunately had to ponder a number of times whenever
we, we’re talkin’ about any of these internet stories. But whether it is to
love it or to hate it, the demand is obviously, there. So there was that. Then marijuana users of New York; rejoice, but also rejoice maybe
a little bit in quiet. Today, New York governor,
Andrew Cuomo has signed a bill that decriminalizes marijuana use. And the reason I’m saying
maybe rejoice a little in quiet is because it’s just been
decriminalized, right? You can still be hit with
a fine, but it won’t be an offense that gets you jail time. But on the national stage,
this is somewhat notable, because we’re almost at the
half-way point, if you want to call it that. At this point, on the
national stage, 11 states and washington D.C. have
legalized marijuana, and New York and 15 others
have decriminalized. Then, very quickly because
a number of people sent this to me, and were like, can
you believe this, Phil? My short answer here is yes, 100%. The piece from the New York Post titled “Sorry, childless millennials
going to Disney World is weird”, and over the
weekend it felt like everyone and their brother, they
took turns dunking on the New York Post, and you
had counter articles being written of this is why it’s actually for childless millennials. My response to why I did
believe this is a thing, was because this article
was obviously rage-bait. It’s a polarizing take on something that’s not all too serious, where yes, some
stick-in-the-muds will be like yeah, those stupid
millennials without kids, and then could be like, what the hell are you talking about? Meanwhile they’re linking
out to the article. At the end of the day, site traffic is site traffic. My opinion on this is not a unique one, I think that adults are
just grown up children, and if you don’t have anything
in your life that sparks that child-like wonder and joy, then you are just slowly dying. I mean, yes, we are all just slowly dying, but life isn’t the beginning or the end, it’s all the stuff in between. If you don’t have
something in your life that makes you stupid happy, or it puts a smile on your
face from your childhood, I feel like that’s, maybe a slightly lesser experience. For some people it’s Star Wars, others comic book stuff, for me Pokemon. Now my opinion, life’s too
serious and horrible otherwise. Also, when it comes to Disneyland, have you seen their prices recently? If there was a time to more justifiably experience Disneyworld, it’s before you also
have to pay for the kids. And as far as those childless
millennials maybe making your experience with your family worse, no one made you have those kids, and it doesn’t give you the
ability to decide what is okay for people that don’t have them, and I say that as a father of two. But from that I want to share
some stuff I love today, and today in awesome brought to you by Raid Shadow Legends. (techno music) (bloodcurdling scream) Oh, the first time you kill
that bastard it feels so good. And for those that don’t know, Rage Shadow Legends is a
brand new collection RPG. It’s out on smartphones right now, and fantastically, it is totally free. And it has exactly what you
want out of a game like this. It’s got awesome 3D graphics. An amazing storyline. Boss fights, PVP battles, and more than 400 champions
to collect and customize. I know that I say this every time, but I really didn’t expect all of this out of a mobile game. I mean just going through
it and seeing the crazy levels of details on these champions. You also don’t just have
to take my word for it, Raid is almost ten million
players world wide, that have already downloaded it in just the past three months, and an almost perfect
score in the play store. And so if you’re ready
to join in on the fun, just go to the description of this video, download Raid using my specific link that I have down there. When you do that you’ll get 50,000 silver and a free Epic Champion
to start your journey. The game is growing super-fast, and the highly anticipated
new update is now live. And so now there’s a new,
awesome royalty rewards program for new players, you can
get a new daily login reward for the first 90 days in the game. Also, if you want to play
with me I just made a clan, it’s called DiFranco, in game my name is PhillyDeFranco. Yeah, main point; click
the link, check it out, and have some fun. And the first bit of
awesome is we put out a new solo deep-dive news video, it’s on this thing that you
may have never heard of, it’s this controversy inside
of the horse racing industry, I will give you a heads-up,
parts of it are hard to watch, but I think it’s definitely
an important viewing. Then in less serious awesome,
if you have an Amazon Prime membership, I cannot recommend it enough; at the end of last week
they put out a series called The Boys, it’s
based on the comic book. I say this as someone that very
much enjoyed the comic book, I love this show. The worst part of the
series, in my opinion, is it’s only eight episodes. Then we got the season
nine teaser promo for American Horror Story, we got the trailer for Wu Tang: An American Saga. We got Alison Brie exploring AMSR. We got a trailer for the
anthology series Modern Love. If you want to see the
full versions of everything I just shared the secret link of the day really anything at all links is always in the description down below, and then let’s talk about what happened in Moscow this weekend. On Saturday there were major
protests about upcoming elections in the cities council, called the Moscow City Duma. On September 8th, all forty-five
seats in the City Duma will be up for re-election, and candidates opposing Putin
and the United Russian Party tried to secure spots on the ballet. But the Election Commission
raised the number of petition signatures required to appear
on the ballet to five thousand which many critics say was a
move made in order to block more proposition candidates, because, according to Vladimir Kara-Murza, a politician in Russia’s
People’s Freedom Party, by signing these petitions, Russian’s are quote
“…volunteering one’s personal information for the government’s database of opposition supporters.” Now still, the opposition
claims that most of their candidates did
get enough signatures, but the election committee
is claiming otherwise, saying the signatures
contained irregularities, like misprints, but Kara-Murza
says those misprints were created by the commission themselves. And reportedly, when
candidates tried to appeal the requests were ignored, so the opposition candidates
remain barred from appearing on the ballets, which is what lead to the huge
demonstrations in the city. There was a protest last week
with reports saying as many as 20,000 attended and then
then there was a protest that happened this weekend. According to officers, over
3,500 people participated in these protest against the election commission’s decision. But you also have the
Associated Press saying aerial footage shows there could
have been as many as 8,000 attendees, attendees chanting things like Russia will be free, and Putin is a thief. But this protest also turned violent. Officers said that the
event was unauthorized, and footage shows them
pushing protesters and beating them with batons. Over the Infoa Political
Persecution Monitoring organizations saying that
77 people were injured in the demonstrations, over
1,300 people were detained with 265 being held overnight. And according to the reports here, this is the highest
number of people detained at a rally in Moscow in a decade, and notably, some of those
detained included people seeking to run for the city Duma. Also notably, the protest
was called for by prominent opposition activist, Alexi Navalny, who was actually arrested on Wednesday, and has been sentenced to
30 days for calling for an anti-government protest. And that arrest and the
whole situation became even more concerning,
because yesterday he was reportedly taken to the
hospital after falling ill after alleged chemical exposure. He had severer facial swelling, and skin redness, his spokesperson said
it appeared that it was an allergic reaction, but
Navalny has no known allergies. According to the doctor that treated him, he was diagnosed with contact dermatitis, so the substance that
caused it is still unknown. She also says that the
chemical tests being run on him have not been
sufficient and disagrees with Alexi being sent back to prison. Ends in a Facebook post writing “I have clearly stated that
I am categorically against such an emergency discharge of Alexey.” and adding that they were
sending him back to where it appears that he came in contact
with this unknown substance. Which regarding that now some
reports are claiming reason to believe that he could
have been poisoned, but it’s actually Navalny
himself and his team that are reportedly not crediting foul play. Instead, citing poor
conditions in his jail cell as he experienced the same
thing when he previously was held in the same cell. Regarding this whole incident, a spokesperson for the US
embassy in Moscow Tweeted about the incident saying “Detention of over 1,000
peacefuly protestors in Russia and use of disproportionate
police force undermine rights of citizens to participate
in the democratic process. Free elections & peaceful assembly are guaranteed in the Russian constitution and Universal Declaration of Human Rights.”. Ultimately, that is where we
are with this story right now, it’ll be interesting to see
what happens from here with Navalny, with the movement, with the protests. Will we see them continue? Will we see them grow? Or will we see a crackdown? And then let’s talk about
this big news around Donald Trump, and we are going to get to, kind of the news of the day. Everyone’s been running the Donald Trump, Representative Cummings, Al Sharpton story, we’re gonna touch on that, but regarding the way
that the coverage happens, it often feels like one of
the most important things to do nowadays, is if
there is something like oh, can you believe he
said, story, we need to look at what else is happening, sort of news. And so if you do that today, actually one of the
most meaningful stories, is around Dan Coats. He’s the Director of
National Intelligence, soon-to-be former, as of August 15th. And he has now announced
that he is stepping down from this position, a position where he oversaw the nation’s 17 intelligence agencies. And notably here, in that position, Coats was someone that would disagree and contradict the President. I mean, just a few of
the notable moments after that 2018 summit where President Trump met Vladimir Putin, and Trump questions whether
Russia had actually interfered. Following that, Coats released
a statement saying that the “intelligence community
has been clear in our assessments of Russian meddling
in the 2016 election and their ongoing, pervasive efforts
to undermine our democracy, and we will continue
to provide unvarnished and objective intelligence in support of our national security.” Another time you might remember, Trump said that North Korea
was no longer a threat. But in January, when Coats
was testifying in front of the Senate Intelligence
Committee, he said quote– “We currently assess that
North Korea will seek to retain its WMD capabilities and is
unlikely to completely give up its nuclear weapons and
production capabilities because its leaders ultimately view
nuclear weapons as critical to regime survival.” adding “Our assessment is
bolstered by our observations of some activity that is inconsistent with full denuclearization.” and notably the person
that Trump is replacing Coats with is House
Republican John Ratcliffe, and if that name sounds
familiar maybe you’ve heard it recently was
because he was one of the outspoken Republicans
during the Muller hearing. Which didn’t surprise many in the moment, Ratcliffe has been described
as a staunch Conservative, he’s been described as a Trump loyalist, ’cause that’s why even
some people’re saying that his performance during
that hearing, it was, it was kind of a job
interview and audition. So that’s why this is a
very important situation and one we need to focus on. And while it doesn’t take
away from the validity of everything that’s
going to be talked about in just a second, it is also important to
note what is happening in this other hand,
things that are happening, players on the board changing. So there was that but let’s
finally talk about this. So on Saturday took to Twitter
to criticize Democratic Representative Elija
Cummings, who represents part of Baltimore. And for some quick context
here to better understand the Presidents Tweets, he seemed to be upset at
Cummings for two main reasons. The first was that Cummings
has been an open critic of the Trump Administration’s
handling of the crisis at the border, earlier this month referring
to the treatment of migrant children at the border as government-sponsored child abuse. And secondly, Cummings
is the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee,
which is leading multiple investigations into
Trump and his administration, and specifically there on Thursday, the committee voted to subpoena
all work-related e-mails and texts that Trump
Administration officials had sent from private accounts. And this vote was part
of an on-going probe that expanded after a lawyer
for Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner said they
both use personal accounts for official business. Which notably is said to
be illegal under Federal records laws, and so with that context, let’s look at Trumps Tweets. He says “Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming
at the great men & women of Border Patrol about condition at the Southern Border, when
actually his Baltimore district is far worse and more dangerous. His district is considered
the worst in the USA as proven last week during
a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spend more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place.” Then going on in a separate Tweet to say– “No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt
mess immediately!” Then a few hours later saying– “Cummings spends all of his time trying to hurt innocent people
through “Oversight”. Saying he does nothing for his district, and he used the hashtag
Blacks for Trump 2020. And Trump continued to
Tweet some other things throughout the day, but after those Tweets we saw Cummings respond
on Twitter saying– “Mr. President, I go home
to my district daily. Each morning, I wake up, and
go fight for my neighbors.” And adding– “It is my constitutional duty to conduct oversight of the Executive Branch. But my moral duty to fight
for my constituents.” and we also saw a number
of people take to Twitter to defend Cummings. Nancy Pelosi calling him “a
champion both in Congress and the country for civil
rights and economic justice, a beloved leader in Baltimore, and deeply valued colleague.” and that that “We all reject
racist attacks against him and support his steadfast leadership.” we all saw We Are Baltimore
trending on Twitter. The mayor of Baltimore Tweeted
this statement, saying– “It’s completely unacceptable
for the political leader of our country
to denegrate a vibrant American city like Baltimore.” adding that “Trumps rhetoric
is hurtful and dangerous to the people he’s sworn to represent.” and adding “Mr. Trump, you
are a disappointment to the people of Baltimore,
our country, and the world.” We also saw Maryland Senator
Chris Van Hollen saying– “This is an example of
the racist bully we have as a president.” and later adding that
“Elijah Cummings’s district is very diverse. It has lower income neighborhood’s that need a lot of help, and it has very wealthy areas.” Which on that note we
saw people contradicting some of Trump’s claims
about Cummings district, for example, political polster Nate Silver sited demographics from the
biggest US cities website writing on Twitter, “Not that it really matters
but Cummings’ district has above-average college education rates and home prices, along
with a pretty good mix of urban and suburban
areas (even some rural), and well-off, working-class and middle-class areas. MD-7 is the 2nd-wealthiest majority-black district in the country. Also the 2nd-most well-educated majority-black district.” But still, on the other side of that, you had others pointing out that the FBI’s most recent crime report ranked Baltimore as the third most dangerous
city in the United States. We saw some people defending Trump, playing down what he had said, for example, speaking with Fox News, acting White House Chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, said– “When the president hears lies like that, he is going to fight back. It has absolutely zero to do with race. This is what the president does. He fights, and he’s not wrong to do so.” regarding the note of racism,
Representative Will Hurd, who was notably one of
the four Republicans who voted that Trumps “Go
Back” Tweets were racist the other week, said on ABC’s This Week– “I think these Tweets
are different from the ones a few days ago or a few weeks ago.” Then on Sunday we saw
Donald Trump double down, specifically responding to
Pelosi’s Tweets saying– “Someone please explain to Nancy Pelosi, who was recently called racist by those in her own party, that there is nothing wrong with bringing out the
very obvious fact that Congressman Elijah Cummings has done a very poor job for his district
and the City of Baltimore. Just take a look, the facts speak far louder than words! The Democrats always play the Race Card, when in fact they have done
so little for our Nation’s great African American people. Now, the lowest unemployment
in U.S. history, and only getting better. Elijah Cummings has failed badly.” Then going on to call Elijah
Cummings racist, and adding– “His radial ‘oversight’ is a joke!” That is also not where this story ends, because this morning
you may have seen Trump took to Twitter to expand his criticism to Reverend Al Sharpton. Sharpton had posted a
Tweet that he was headed to Baltimore and Trump responded– “I have known Al for 25 years. We went to fights with him and Don King, always got along well. He quote ‘loved Trump!’ He would ask me for favors often. Al is a con man, always looking for a score. Just doing his thing. Must have intimidated Comcast/NBC. Hates whites and cops.” adding– “Al Sharpton would always
ask me to go to his events. He would say ‘it’s a
personal favor to me.’ Seldom, but sometimes, I would go. It was fine. He came to my office in Trump Tower during the presidential campaign to apologize for the way he was talking about me. Just a conman at work!” Sharpton then responded to
Trump in Tweets, writing– “Trump says I’m a troublemaker & con man. I do make trouble for bigots. If he really thought I was a con man he would want me in his cabinet.” Also Sharpton this
morning while speaking to reporters said this. – He attacks everybody. I know Donald Trump,
he’s not mature enough to take criticism; he can’t help it. He’s like a child, somebody
say something, he reacts. He’s thin-skinned and not
really matured that well. But he has a particular venom for blacks and people of color. He doesn’t refer to any
of his other opponents or critics as infested. – And regarding that
note around infestation, and where and when Trump uses it, we saw some noting and screen-shotting the presidents Tweets of previous use. There’s a now viral
clip of CNN host by the name of Victor Blackwell, he’s a native of Baltimore, and he noted and featured where the president has previously talked about infestation when talking about minorities. And of course with this story, like everything else I’ve talked about, I’d love to know your
opinions on this piece in the comments down below. But also, a thing I do
want to leave you with around this story, is how far away from where it started we ended up, once again, I fell like this
is part of the strategy. Right, this is a situation that seemingly started about a conversation
about the crisis at the border, the treatment of children, as well as subpoena involving Trump Administration private e-mails, and then things to a flurry of Tweets we end up all the way over here. I’m not trying to say I know
the right way to cover it, I’m just kind of showcasing as one, for viewers and people
that consume the news to be aware, and two, I think it showcases at times how hard it
can be to properly cover the situation, ’cause there’s a million different points of entry. And that’s where I’m
going to end today’s show and of course, last
Thursday I love it so much, I decided we’re gonna do it again, we have a poll up there that you can take, you just have to click the little eye that keeps popping up. Also, hey, if you liked today’s video, I would love if you took a second to hit that like button,
if you’re new here definitely be sure to hit
that subscribe button, ring that bell to turn on notifications. Also, if you’re not 100% filled in, you wanna watch something else, we did a really fascinating,
I think important, deep-dive on horse racing. Or maybe you just missed the
last Philip DeFranco show and you want to catch up, you can click or tap right there to watch either of those. But, with that said, of course, as always, my name’s Philip DeFranco, you’ve just been Philled in, I love yo faces, and I’ll see you tomorrow.

  1. Hey. Happy Monday. You're beautiful. I'm kidding. You're okay.
    Timecodes: Fortnite 00:06 – Jake and Tana 2:27 – New York Decriminalizes 4:30 – Disney MIllenials 4:58 – TIA 6:23 – Russia 8:17 – Trump 11:17

  2. Shockingly I'm gonna have to agree with trump on this one. As someone who used to live in Baltimore and still have friends that do that place is screwed up. Crime, drugs, trash you name it. It is not racist to point out the obvious, doesn't matter who represents the state. As for the AL Sharpton part come on….. Al is a joke with a past of racism, anti-semitism, race baiting and yes cons.

  3. I think the problem with Esports is gonna be the staying power of individual games. As long as a single league or entity can organize new tournaments per what’s popular then it’ll be fine. It seems to me that unlike traditional sports which each have their own leagues, esports seems to have individual tournaments for momentary fad games.

I’d just be curious to see how the varying staying power of individual games affects the evolution and structure of esports.

Esports is here to stay, but it’s evolution and structure will be interesting to watch.

  4. As long as the childless adult doesn't push my kid to get the picture with the Princesses they can do what they want.

  5. Trump messes up a lot but this was not racist at all. You know it’s a reach when they have to check all his tweets to see when he does and doesn’t reference infestation. This energy should go into things that would make the whole world better. Democrats are fighting harder against Trump than they fight for those they represent.

  6. Who allowed him to provide $ 3 million, is a terrorist, all games were the lack of a winner, can not win the program is impossible (why? The existence of industrial intelligence)

  7. I don't hate the esports stuff, but I think it's dumb and calling it "sports" implies it's something it's very obviously not. There's also a serious concern for me that some of these parents are using their kids.

  8. And Lady Elissa Sherman exists and did not like games or organization, and was all cheats, angry lady, and want to return games under the supervision of experts from the company and then we determined the winner, the age observer allowed the competition is 18 / 21 years according to international laws (prohibited teams / No presence under the age of 18 / or slogans / promotion) and the broadcast is directly under the supervision of YouTube, and promote only logos company

  9. This Baltimore shit is ridiculous!! Perfect example of "embrace the opposite of whatever Trump says!"
Trump: Cancer is bad, just the worst
Left: Cancer has done some really fine things for the world!

You can like Baltimore and it still be a shit hole. I live in Memphis and I like where I live but Memphis is dangerous as crap!!! If a politician said that nationally I'd be like "they aint wrong" not "NU UH! MEMPHIS IS THE BESTEST MOST BEAUTIFULLEST CITY IN THE COUNTRY!!!"

    Just stop!!!

  10. Bad mouthing Baltimore with the truth is in fact not racist. I don't think the Democrats or the MSM will stop lying about it though. Sharpton is just an old race hustler and I can't wait for him to be too old to cause more trouble for the country.

  11. Umm people really gave Tana and Jake views AGAIN for fake news AGAIN? Y'all are clowns, you don't look anymore, you ARE.

  12. "No one made you have those kids and it doesn't give you the ability to decide what is ok for people that don't have them." ONE MORE TIME FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK, PHIL!!!!!!!

  13. Fuck Trump. Thats my thoughts on this whole matter. If you support him you are enabling white nationalism and racism, and maybe you are ok with that.

  14. Trump….what else can be said…this dude trying to take credit for Black Unemployment is like Colonists acting like they "Discovered" America

  15. I swear that the quotes Philip defranco used from fox/spokes people for Trump, sounded like "look, he is an asshole. Just nod your head and agree. I'm tired of making excuses"

  16. Honestly Phil I have been noticing that you have been doing this mainly when it comes to POTUS and I got to say, I am a little disappointed; you seem to have been leaving out facts to do with POTUS and everything. Regardless of Trumps beef with Cummings. He was watching a fox news report of a BLACK WOMAN reporting to the fox news reporter the status of Baltimore. Literally his entire tweet storm was in response to the Fox news report about Baltimore, and TPusa even went there and filmed in the areas Trump was talking about. https://youtu.be/Se16U6DSE7o
And that CNN reporter just called himself and other black and brown people rats and rodents when he tried to do some mental gymnastics to conflate that Trump was referring to black and brown people as metaphorical rats and rodents. Baltimore is filled with them, just watch this video where they are asking the residents themselves.

When it comes to POTUS Phil, you seem to have this bias against him and also seem to push it when you are not presenting all the facts. Just trying to help you.

  17. Esports will continue to grow. But the games are still bubbles that will burst and get replaced by new longer lasting bubbles until eventually we reach something that requires so much skill while still being skill that it will take as much dedication and time as any professional job.

  18. Tana looked super not surprised by the whole drink throwing thing and didn’t seem real bothered by it either.

  19. 13:58 "So with that context" lol fuck off Phil! The real context was the Rat King and other Dems blasting more border patrol people acting like its their fault that there's a border crisis. Can't believe i used to proudly promote your fake news channel

  20. Trying to potray a certain side spinning an narrative. While showing the other side as saints. Tell ppl sharptons truth

  21. So good of you guys to cover horse racing welfare failures. So many people won't touch the issue because not enough people care. The only way to end the trade is exposure, things like that gets people attention.

  22. 15:43
Saying it has above average home prices is a very bad defense…..that essentially means it costs more to live there/people with the same income as somewhere else (with average or below average home prices) will essentially be poorer and have a lower standard of living due to the higher home prices. Why not share something like crime statistics? Trying to go against Trump's statements by saying that homes cost more there isn't a good look at all.

  23. Trump is so thin skinned. He goes after anyone who opposes him. He targets anyone looking into his possible wrong doings, and to me that is very concerning and almost guilty like…

  24. Okay, about the fort-nite story. How is this legal? Last I checked people under 18 could not enter an event where money is involved. In the United States its 21. This is not a good idea. You Americans do not allow online poker, which is considered a game of skill, but some little shit wants to play online all day with a game, and thats allowed??? Okay, good luck with that.

  25. If you could please cover the story about Alexandra, this Romanian girl from Caracal who was kiddnaped, managed to call the police and they treated her rudely, like a liar even if she even managed to give them an adress. After they got there they waited in front of the killers house for hours even tho screams could be heard from inside the house. When they entered she was long dead (they don't have a body tho). The whole country is in shock about the police's incompetence

  26. 1:30 – E-Sports is incredibly over evaluated as an industry. The main corporate powers behind E-Sports are using executives from the sports industry proper, they are very very good at making things look bigger than they are. While undoubtedly audience numbers are massive, events are popular, the industry itself is struggling to actually monetize it. Digital audiences actively reject what is considered typical monitization schemes in other entertainment spaces. It's a matter of Real-Sports minds struggling to engage without alienating E-Sports fans. If they can figure it out then E-Sports will soar, but as it is now, it is very much a bubble. A very thin bubble. E-Sports is being held together by fans that really want it to succeed and will view events just to add to the metric regardless of interest, and corporate salesmen that are peddling something that is very close an investment scam.

  27. man I've lived in maryland most my life and loved to visit the harbor and Lexington market… I dont know where all this talk about how great the city is right now is coming from. all I know is I used to be able to enjoy myself even up to midnight in downtown Baltimore I know you cant do that now…

  28. You know, given the state of abortion laws in the United States, there are actually lots of people who were forced to have kids…

  29. Anyone who can't see that Jana is nothing but a fucking scam is a special kind of stupid lmao

Those two dumpsterfires gotta stay relevant, somehow. They're disgusting, talentless trash who are not good role models for their young fans. Stop making stupid people famous!

  30. Doesn't tana know that Jake is a sex addict? He has some serious self-esteem issues. Cheating scandal is a ticking time bomb.

  31. 1. The Paul Brothers are idiots, but they are marketing geniuses
    2. That sounds like our President… hmm…
    3. Where they differ though is that our President is a racist, misogynistic asshole, where as the Pauls are just misogynistic assholes (even though they've done some things that are quite culturally insensitive, that seems to have come from lack of knowledge rather than actual hate and bigotry)

  32. Hi Phil, can you please do a segment on Queer Kids Stuff / Lindsey Amer?

To briefly summarize her content: her main channel (QKS) talks about explaining LGBTQ concepts to kids at an early age through sing songy videos and metaphors to young kids (as early as 4 yrs old as mentioned in her newly released video on TED Talk). She also hosts segments that touch on these concepts on her channel. Just watched her TED Talk and something was off form me when she was speaking to the audience. In her personal channel, she also discusses the haters that have come on her channel, disliking her videos and questioning her methods of discussing such sensitive topics to kids, saying that she has a good heart in place but that her videos are more damaging than helpful and that she is executing it in the wrong way. She has also disabled comments on her QKS channel, which is a bit odd for me since that is a sign that a person is not open to constructive criticisms or further discussions. I dont know, maybe that's just me.

To be honest though, I am a straight male, but I too want too learn how to respect and understand people from all spectrums of life. And I want to know where they are coming from.

I wanna get yours and the community's thoughts about her content. Hope you see this! Cheers!

  33. History, read it and learn. Remember the dot com bubble.
Not trying to be a downer, but in my 75 years, i have learned one thing to be true. Change is constant. C. C. Clingan, author, editor, publisher.

  34. Always does my heart good to see the E Sports scene advance. That moment between the dad and his son was so fucking sweet! Really goes to show the change in perspective regarding gaming as a whole.

  35. Jake Paul and Tana Mojojojo… yeah that's a match made in fake heaven. Normally I hope couples find happiness with each other. But both of them are scummy human beings. So I guess I don't give a shit WHAT happens to them.

  36. Ayyyyy people of New York! Welcome to the modern age! Too bad my state hasn't caught up just yet. I actually personally don't indulge in weed myself, but I'd fight to the death to defend someone's right to do so. We one step closer boyzzz!

  37. I'm personally not a big fan of Disney, but I'd happily defend any innocent person's right to go to Disneyland and NOT feel judged.

  38. Gods Russia is such a fucked up place politically. That place is in dire need of a nationwide upheaval. I hate saying that. I hate saying that there is a place that is in need of violence and death. But if there was a country that I just don't have faith in its capacity for peaceful change, it would be Russia. And that's nothing against the innocent masses there either. The state is just so far gone now at this point. Pretty much on par with China. If not for their nuclear stockpile, I would be all for advocating for military intervention there. I'd gladly lay my own life on the line for something like that.

  39. The last story shows that we would rather scream racism then take care of problems. Its a media black out tactic, we only see this crap and not the stuff happening behind the curtain. Trump isn't the president we need but the one we deserve.
