A Paper Panty-Clad Horse, a Jailbreak, and Turtles – Written by a Kid ep. 3

August 21, 2019

[OPENING THEME] (SINGING) We make videos based
on what they said. It’s “Written by a Kid.” WILL BOWLES: Hello,
how are you? EMILY: Good. WILL BOWLES: Could you tell
us your name, please? EMILY: My name is Emily. JOSH FLAUM: And how old
are you, Emily? EMILY: Six years old. WILL BOWLES: What grade
are you in, Emily? EMILY: Of course I’m in first. WILL BOWLES: Of course. JOSH FLAUM: Of course. WILL BOWLES: Yes, of course. JOSH FLAUM: We hear that you
have a story to tell us today. EMILY: Well, yes I do. [MUSIC CUE] EMILY: Once upon a time, there
was a horse, but it wasn’t an ordinary horse because the
horse has, like, five horseshoes for legs. And then it had a horse head and
its body was paper and he had panties on. And its name was La Munkya. [MUSIC CUE] WILL BOWLES: La Munkya. Did I say that right? EMILY: Kind of like a monkey. WILL BOWLES: Did I say it like
a monkey, or you mean it sounds kind of like a monkey? La Munkya. EMILY: [SIGH]. WILL BOWLES: OK, got you. JOSH FLAUM: All right. Here we go. EMILY: That’s funny. [LAUGHTER] EMILY: Very funny. So he’s walking, and he’s
tripped over a stone, but the stone was in the air. And then he screamed so loud,
but it was a boy. He screamed louder than
a little girl could. He screamed louder than
a little girl could. The horse screamed louder than
a little girl could, and then he went walking to
the county fair. JOSH FLAUM: And what goes
on at a county fair? EMILY: They’re having a
competition who could make the biggest piece of paper, and
eventually the horse won. JOSH FLAUM: Because
of his body. EMILY: It’s big. JOSH FLAUM: Oh yeah, OK. EMILY: He’s fat. JOSH FLAUM: He was
a fat horse. EMILY: Really big. JOSH FLAUM: So he won
the competition. What was the prize? EMILY: One thousand million
thousand and 50 hundred one thousand hundred million
thousand 50 bucks. And so the horse didn’t know
what to do with it because he was just a horse, so he
ate all the money. WILL BOWLES: Wow. EMILY: He liked it. WILL BOWLES: Well, at least
it was delicious. EMILY: It was his
favorite snack. WILL BOWLES: OK. EMILY: So the mayor
said, bad horsey. Bad, bad horsey. Bad horsey. And then they put him
in jail 100 years. And so, when the horse
went to jail, the horse ate all the bars. So there was little tiny
scraps on the floor. JOSH FLAUM: Did anybody
try and stop him? EMILY: Just a few spy
cameras went beep. JOSH FLAUM: A few spy
cameras went beep. EMILY: And then, many turtles
on webs went down. They went [HIGH PITCHED YELL] and screamed. That meant charge. So they took spit balls, they
put them in hats, and then they [SPIT NOISE] spit at him. And then he ate all of them. JOSH FLAUM: He ate the
turtles on the webs. WILL BOWLES: He’s very hungry. JOSH FLAUM: He’s a
ravenous horse. EMILY: But he threw up
the shells, and then he fell into a pond. Eventually, when the people were
feeding the ducks banana splits and ice cream, the
horse ate it all. And then the ducklings
got mad. Their mommas were not there. They’re like penguins. The duckling mamas were getting
food at the other camp spot, and then the ducklings
went charge again and again. And then every time they went
charge, they swam one step closer to the horsey. The horsey was screaming again
like a little girl. Louder than a little girl could
but it was actually a boy because his name
was La Munkya. [MUSIC CUE] JOSH FLAUM: That’s one of the
greatest things I have ever heard in my whole life. WILL BOWLES: That’s amazing. JOSH FLAUM: Thank you for
telling your story. It was really, really,
really good. WILL BOWLES: And detailed. JOSH FLAUM: Very detailed. EMILY: Thanks. [MUSIC CUE] [MUSIC PLAYING] EMILY: And they went
[HIGH PITCHED YELL] and screamed. That meant charge. WILL BOWLES: Charge. JOSH FLAUM: Charge. [MUSIC PLAYING]

  1. I love how the story doesn't make sense at all, it's just a horse who's eating things he shouldn't be eating haha.

  2. She showed it because this kid kept asking her to and we had enough time where we were doing nothing. It was in English, and everyone was trying to find out what "La Munkya" meant, like if it was Spanish for something.

  3. The US is working on printing a one thousand million thousand fifteen hundred one thousand hundred million thousand fifty dollar coin.

  4. This is one of the best videos on You Tube. I laugh till i cry every time i watch it. Writers of today's cartoon could learn something from her. "It's big he's fat really big"

  5. "He screamed louder then a little girl could, he screamed louder then a little girl could, he screamed louder then a little girl could…"

  6. School crushes your imagination into dust. Pretty soon Emily's teachers are going to start telling her she tells bad stories, which is why school sucks. For now, though, long live LA MUNKYA!!!!

  7. I love this story, she was very funny and the video editing made it so much funnier than a video could. Hollywood should hire her to write movies because I am tired of reboots.

  8. If she wants to be an accountant when she grows up, I'm in line to be her client. What a sassy, sharp, and creative girl. Great story Emily!
