Biosfera roller race inline speed skating (pascal briand vlog 81)

October 31, 2019

it arrived in Madeira one o’clock in the morning here and tomorrow morning I have a little conference to do it summarising giving [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so we are in the racing date in Madeira first inning I had a little conference this morning about technique in group now I just watch a bit the seaside next to the track and I’m going to the track and do my little training the specific single days that I don’t have frame for four wheels so I’m gonna use my 325 325 frame and use it with hundred ten millimetres wheels for the race this weekend [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] time for me to go for the fling lap now and I’m gonna race with trails of 110 because I didn’t wanted to change in my frame for this weekend [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] why do you change wills position like this because this track is really rough so after the long-distance race the wheels on the side I was using or like they lost the four so for the 500 now I have to look for a good side again so I have with in the corner okay and how do you manage this like when you I saw you touch with your hand yes I do I do you what do you really look I normally it’s like you feel it being like I knew it is shiny and really like soft you can say and when you start using it it if it’s a bad track it goes straight like you fill it with your finger and then you check all the wheels and try to put the bass or on this I do I put the best site for the corner so leave all the good sides of the wheels for having grip in the corner what are you doing with your wings now changing my wheels yesterday we have we had a long distance and the track takes too much the wheel from putting the good ones for the Sprint because it gets slippery really really fast so you need to have the maximum grip you can’t do you put new waves or you just turn your way so are they putting the the ones I raced the qualification for the 200 meters so they are still really good and then because I mixed with the XX film for the long distance and now I’m gonna put all X whew [Music] do you start with new wheels for today or if you use same as yesterday I use my old wheels from the flying lab from yesterday for the first round up to 500 and then hopefully for the half finals or something if I get free outputs on yours how many race you have this morning you know it’s the 500 qualification then the next round after 500 with the top 16 and all the way through the half finals of the 500 meters and you thing is gonna be difficult to manage the to keep the wheel good during the day yeah it’s it’s quite a big test because the the track is really eating the wheels so normally after after a couple of laps you feel already that the wheels are burned so you need to be quite smart and good with managing your wheel budget and they do you adapt your technique when you race like yesterday in the point race yeah especially I mean in the points race is hard because already after six laps the the points started but I try to be gentle with my wheels in the first laps and try to push it especially through the heel and I think is gonna be more important today in the elimination thank you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music]

  1. Nice. Why do all the speed skater on this track prefer 4×110 over 3×125?Is it because the track "eats" wheels, so more wheels under the feet means less loss of grip?
