Check Out Ted Turner’s New Featherlite Horse Trailers

Two equine industry leaders, Featherlite
Trailers and Ted Turner Junior recently joined together to form a
partnership. With over 40 years in the equine world Ted Turner has exhaustive experience in
hauling and using horse trailers. He used personal experiences to design
particular features and options into his two new Featherlite trailers.
Let’s take a closer look. This Model 8582 horse trailer with
living quarters has a number of great features and
options. It’s one of the new Legend Edition horse trailers… and designed with square corner drop down feed doors square camper doors and unload doors. This trailer has four stalls in the
horse area and a 16-foot living quarters with a slide out in the front. The living quarters features a leather
sofa in the slide-out and a restroom with a shower situated
towards the front of the trailer. the kitchen area offers plenty of
storage along with the sink, refrigerator and a
cooktop stove. A large cedar lined closet is found in
the back of the living quarters The horse area features full height
dividers, an option preferred by Mr. Turner. The dividers have Featherlite’s two inch thick grey stall pads for extra comfort and
protection. Ted Turner recommends rear ramps for
easier loading of horses so one was added to his trailer. The trailer features a solid wall rear tack. A side tack room was also designed into the trailer for extra storage equipment and supplies. Numerous aluminum halter bars can be
found in the mangers and in the rear tack A ladder leads up to a custom hay pod
on the top the trailer. Ventilation is extremely important for
horse owners in the south. In addition to Featherlite’s standard
two-way pop-up roof vents located down the center of the horse
area, this trailer was designed with one fan per horse stall, as well. On the outside of the trailer you’ll
see Ted’s signature orange graphics, as well as polished aluminum top and bottom rails. Ted Turner’s Model 8542 Legend Edition gooseneck horse trailer features three horse stalls with
full-height dividers and fans for the horses. Plenty of
aluminum halter buyers can be found in the rear tack or on the wall in the dressing room. Just like the Model 8582, it also has square corner windows and doors. A side access door to the rear tack and Ted Turner’s custom graphics. An extra six inches of height has been added to the trailer to help the horses feel more comfortable.
