  1. I've been there twice– 1978 & 1996. They have limited funds. It's a laborious process anyway, but it goes even more slowly because of cost.

  2. This seriously does not make sense. There are cities being built faster than this. If they were serious about completing this thing they would have had it done in a year!

  3. Just hire Mexicans there hardworking ,fast , intelligent and would finish this in 10 years or less. 🇲🇽🇺🇸🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯

  4. Mount Rushmore done in 14 years.

    70 years and a face?

This will never be finished, I believe it's intentionally being stretched out. It's become a family business instead of a memorial creation.

  5. I'm saddened and wonder. How many natives and tribes are against this? Natives should not feel the need to compete against a monument like Rushmore in a similar style of a vulgar classicist European dictator. The only thing their monument expresses is how coopted Native American culture has become by white European American culture.

  6. i bet there are bucket loads of cash disappearing from this project, it only has to look as though progress is being made to easliy syphon off the $$$$

  7. This place calls itself a non-profit corporation as the family has made their living off of it, that is why it will never be completed. Furthermore the State is making money off of it as well. They will milk this to the end of time as we know it! They also say it is a sculpture in its entirety, guess what, the feather that is missing on top of Crazy Horse's head will be put up in 3 sections. This family is making millions and is clearly not a non-profit corporation. It should be named Custer on a Crazy horse.

  8. Easier would have been to make it in reinforced concrete, cement. The hollows inside the face, horse and hand would have escalators, shopping arcade, restaurant, and medicinal marijuana centres. To make it even more attractive, bungee jump, and cable ride can be added.

  9. I went to that 22 years ago. It looked EXACTLY the same. The family soaks tourists for funds to COMPLETE it. Bullshit.

  10. Funny how it only took a couple of decades to exterminate the Native American People in (North America). Now its taken (or going to ) take 100s of years to complete a monument saying WHAT (SORRY ???) I dont want to hear about slavery or the way illegal aliens are being treated in this country. Real sorrow is reserved for the tribes that lived on this land… That was taken from these people.

  11. Destroying a mountain just like the others. I wonder what Crazy Horse would have felt about that. Tit for tat. And so the story goes. Yours is big, mine will be bigger! Distroying Mother Nature. So sad.
