How To Make An Outdoor Word Game – D.I.Y. At Bunnings

Maegan: Hi, I’m Maegan, and today I’m going
to show you how to make this awesome word game that you can play in your backyard. Everything you need for this project can be
found on our website. First, you need to measure and mark the planks of wood to make the square
pieces. You can either get an adult to help you cut them or get them pre-cut at your local
Bunnings. To find out how many of each letter you’ll need, refer to our website. Give each square a good sand to make sure
those edges are smooth and to remove any splinters. Then, add a letter to each square. Start by
drawing it in pencil, then paint over it with any color you like. Kids, make sure you put
your gloves on for painting. You’ll also need to make a holder for your
letters to stop other players from peeking at them. Each player will need to wooden stakes, which
you should give a light sand. Stick each one of them in the ground, about 1.5 meters apart.
Then, tie a piece of string, twine, or rope between them. Make sure it’s tight enough
to lean your letters on. You should get an adult to help you with this. Also, get a storage container to keep your
letters in, so you won’t misplace them. Each player starts with six letters, you take
turns making words in a crossword fashion, and replace the letters you use. The first
person to use up all their letters wins. And, that’s all there is to it. This game just
spells fun. Female: Thanks for watching. You’ll find more
fun games for your kids on our website or keep watching for another video.
