 The monarch, 92, enjoyed a morning ride on her Fell pony. The Queen, who has faced criticism in the past for not wearing a hard hat, donned one of her trademark headscarfs and wrapped up in a coat She was joined by her head groom Terry Pendry for the outing who also rode a smart black pony The Queen INSISTS the new royal baby will not follow THIS diet Meghan Markle’s baby will have different life to George and Charlotte  Meanwhile, the Duke of Edinburgh, 97, took the reins in a horse and carriage  Philip, who recently gave up his driving licence following a horror crash in Sandringham, was joined by two companions for the morning jaunt in the grounds of Windsor Castle  He kept a low profile in a flat cap, khaki coat and gloves as he steered the four horses  The 97-year-old was also seen out in his horse and carriage yesterday.  Her Majesty is known for her love of horses and despite being into her nineties the Queen still spends time in the saddle  She started horse riding at the age of just three and she was given her first pony by her grandfather King George V on her fourth birthday  The Queen has a keen interest in horse racing and breeds thoroughbreds. She is patron of a number of horse organisations including the Royal Windsor Horse Show, the British Horse Society, the Fell Pony Society and the Shire Horse Society Royal RAGE: The Royals who have lost their tempers Queen’s oldest ‘SERVANT’ Cedric Robinson retires after 55 years  The hobby runs in the family, with the Queen’s daughter Princess Anne and her daughter Zara Phillips both Olympic equestrians  In 2012 Zara became the first royal to win an Olympic medal, which was presented by Anne  Prince Charles and his sons William and Harry are all talented polo players and the brothers often take part in matches
