Today’s tip will help add some opaque quality
to your whites so you don’t have add so many thin layers when painting white markings. It’s gesso! When mixing my whites, I make about a third
of it with gesso. Now remember, not all gesso is created equal, so make sure you buy one that is rigid, adheres very well, and is sandable. Golden brand is great and I love their hard,
sandable version. I also find another benefit of gesso is that
it cuts down on the brightness of your white, adding a warmer and more realistic look to
your horse’s white. Thanks for watching and for more Thursday tips, please subscribe to my channel so you’ll never miss a video. Now go make those ponies!
