  1. Hi, I don’t really have anything clever to say, I am just hoping you will favorite me because I don’t want to feel awkward being the only unfavorited comment 🙂

  2. When the sgt is saying “if one of our boys come back at you, shoot them dead.” Is it kind of embarrassing to say it because every one is bigger than him or what?

  3. You can tell that most of the soldiers are actually frightened to ‘go over the top’ into ‘No Man’s Land’. The late Harry Patch famously claimed ‘If any man tells you he went over the top and he wasn’t scared he’s a damn liar’. This was because even though the trenches were filthy and rat infested it was far safer there than leaving the trenches. In fact more than a third of the soldiers who left their trenches were killed. They knew that they could get killed at any given second by the enemy. And it was that bad those who lived suffered ‘shell shock’ which was being left internally scarred to the point they suffered flashbacks and losing their sanity.

  4. Human never learns, how old is human species, killing today each other like in the beginning of time , it never changes , human never change

  5. Just beggars belief that this is just a small insight into how horrific that war was and that some of my relatives actually went through it. I'll never forget that.

  6. "He's crying he's dying , he's hanging on the old barbed wire" popular song among British soldiers at the time.

  7. Ima Correct some people over here the bagpipers were usually the first people to go over the wall with no weapons and walk onto the Battlefield only playing the bagpipe these niggas had balls

  8. Imagine how our modern military would face off in the era.
"We're pinned down, need air support!"
    1st trench:
    A10 warthog 💥💥💥💥💥
    2nd trench:
    JDAM strikes 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
    3rd trench:
    *F18 20mm strafe*🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆
    Raises American flag 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  9. I've only ever cried during one film and it's this one. Just something about the bagpipes playing in the background as those lads climb up the ladder just to be instantly shredded by machine gun fire; it gets me every time. One of the best portrayals of WW1 in film!

  10. what an awful place to be, for both sides. Can't imagine gunning down countless men I didn't know but I guess all is fair in love and war

  11. I would kill my self… I wouldn’t be able to fathom the fact that I’m going to have to watch my friends, and people I know die… The people that fought in wars are braver than I will ever be, they have all my respect and gratitude.

  12. Some idiots are saying stuff about feminists taking credit when 1) they never said that and 2) they should be honouring the people who died for nothing, not picking fights over made-up comments. RIP those who served in this terrible time.

  13. I had a video of this scene with “Trench Tactics” by Jungle Rot but my other account got terminated.

  14. In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.

  15. This is a question I’ve been wondering about: do the other races in Star Trek consider every human war ever fought as the longest civil war in Earth’s history or how do they view it? Maybe the Klingons think we’re primitive and the Cardassians call us violent children because of this. I don’t know, it’s a lingering question that’s been bugging me honestly.

  16. Brave man instead of shooting his own mates .. he went out there himself much respect! Give that man a medal!

  17. U cunts are terrible at trench warfare us Maori in new Zealand made advance trench warfare with on of the first bunkers in our trenches to hide from bombing the trench our trenchs were called paa in English it means a defensive settlement if you want more knowledge look up NZ land wars while yous were fight world war 1 we had our own issues

  18. I have a tin of my great great grandads and uncles medals from ww1 mostly I was there medals but all were infantry I hold those I was there medals in the same regard as a VC because as far as im concerned every man who went over the top was a dam hero

  19. Battlefield 1
    The team pushing up:
1:07 Literally every sniper who thinks they are good and doesn't help the team in any way.

  20. WW1 British Army: Lets banzai charge the enemy. This will surely work.
WW2 Soviet Army: Lets banzai charge the enemy. This will surely work.

  21. I don't know what's worse going into no man's land risking you're life for King and country or shooting Deserter's who probably is your mate back home

  22. 0:51 if you want to know how balls look like, just see the officer with the glasses no hesitation just charge to battle.

  23. Shocking, listening this sound from other world, the bag-pipes, playing the "Blue Bonnets over the Border" and the boys charging through hell!
Even if I am not Scotsman, I have this as ringtone (or the "Cock o' the North") – these songs chills the blood.
